Sharjah24: The Executive Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management in the Kalba praised the concerted efforts of various government institutions and the work to implement intensive precautionary measures in record time to deal with the city's potential exposure to the repercussions of tropical cyclone "Shaheen".
Major Ali Mubarak bin Amer, director of the Traffic and Patrols Branch at Kalba Police Station, member of the committee, valued the dedication of all the department’s employees and workers in achieving the goals of the preemptive plan for the event and securing the city adequately in anticipation of developments left by natural phenomena. At the same time, he praised the community members' compliance and commitment to the instructions of the competent authorities during the past days.
After the official announcement of the end of the tropical situation, Bin Amer revealed the opening of the service road parallel to Al-Shati Street in front of traffic and the start of work on removing the earth and rock berms that had been established as part of preventive measures, and re-cleaning the Corniche to return life to normal in the area.
