Broaden professional horizons with Badiri Academy’s offerings

Sharjah24: Badiri Education and Development Academy (Badiri), the education and capacity building arm of NAMA Women Advancement Establishment (NAMA), is moving ahead with its holistic approach to promote professional and personal development through a series of free-to-attend and expert-led virtual workshops in Arabic and English.
Held in partnership with LinkedIn and other leading brands, Badiri’s e-learning and skills development offerings will continue throughout October with four workshops, and focus on nurturing the soft skills, professional etiquettes and digital leadership of participants. 

Increasing efficiency and productivity

How can one plan and prioritise the day’s activities in a more efficient, productive manner? How can we make better use of time? Husam Nazzal Al Arabi, consultant and trainer with Education for Employment, will address these questions and much more at the Time Management and Efficiency workshop on October 6 that will equip entrepreneurs, university students, fresh graduates as well as homemakers with effective time management strategies and resources.

From 11am – 1 pm, the two-hour interactive workshop in Arabic, will lead participants through the various steps of achieving efficiency with improved planning.

The importance of data in a business set-up

Data analysis helps businesses optimise their performance and enables leaders keep a finger on the pulse of the business. Badiri’s October 13 workshop (4 – 7pm) titled Data Analysis using Excel, targeting early career professionals, entrepreneurs, employees and fresh graduates, will explore meaningful ways of organising, interpreting, structuring and presenting data as useful information using Excel. 

Select Training & Management Consultancy’s Maan Eid will lead the session in English, teaching participants how to create and analyse reports using the software.

Building your brand on LinkedIn

In this period of unsettling change, building one’s brand is vital to succeeding in an increasingly digital business world. Lamyse Ammar, LinkedIn Talent Solution Account Director, will lead a 90-minute workshop in Arabic on October 20, starting at 11am to enable participants define their professional brand, elevate their presence on LinkedIn and use their network to leverage opportunities. 

The workshop titled, How to communicate effectively on LinkedIn targets early career professionals, entrepreneurs, employees and fresh graduates.

Brush up on your public speaking skills

Badiri’s final workshop this month, Public Speaking, will be held on October 27, 4 – 7 pm, in Arabic, and seek to empower early career professionals, entrepreneurs, employees and fresh graduates to advance their interpersonal and public speaking skills by offering insights into creating effective strategies and compelling presentations to better engage with an audience. 

Ziad Youssef of Select Training & Management Consultancy will lead the training where participants will learn ways to build presence and captivate the audience. Attendees will also be equipped with the tools required for making a powerful presentation.
