SPC Free Zone’s advanced infrastructure, diverse portfolio of services and ease of access to regional and international markets were cited by the certifying organisation, Danske Certification Systems, as key factors they considered for their decision.
In the first half of 2021, the SPC Free Zone attracted more than 1,000 companies operating in the publishing, printing and translation sectors, in addition to commercial, administrative and legal consultants and companies operating in creative sectors.
Salim Omar Salim, Director of SPC Free Zone, pointed out that the quality of services they offered investors had played a major role in attaining the ISO certification, adding that being awarded a leading international benchmark of quality would attract new customers and help reinforce SPC Free Zone’s position as a leading incubator of the future growth of creative sectors.
The Director added, “SPC Free Zone fully supports the ongoing mission to broadbase Sharjah’s economic growth by focusing on incubating and supporting projects, start-ups and companies affiliated with the creative and knowledge-based sectors, in alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to support the economic and social development of the emirate”.
“The growing portfolio of 1,000 plus businesses in the creative industries operating from the free zone is indicative of SPC Free Zone’s appeal as a commercial hub, as well as the innovative services and state-of-the-art facilities that cater to our customers’ needs to scale and grow their businesses,” concluded Salim.
