Khorfakkan for the Disabled celebrates champions of Tokyo 2020

Sharjah 24: The Board of Directors of the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled honoured the Club mothers and champions who participated in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, which were recently held in Japan.
The honoring took place during the periodic meeting of the Board of Directors headed by Dr. Abdul Razzaq Ahmed Bani Rashid, Chairman of the Board of Directors, in the presence of Louay Saeed Alai, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Media Committee, Ahmed Hassan Al Qadi, Secretary General, and a number of the Club’s officials.
 
In the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Bani Rashid, praised the participation of two of the club’s champions in Tokyo 2020 Olympics and described the participation as a historic event. He added that the participation is a result of the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the “disabled advocate” and wise leader.

Dr. Bani Rashid noted that this great achievement is the result of years of hard work and planning in order to raise the flag of the country in international fora.

His Excellency pointed out that the honorable results achieved by the champions of the Khorfakkan club for the disabled, at the local and international levels, reflect the commitment of all players to implement the training programmes set, according to a timetable, at the highest level of accuracy, and in line with the development of disabled games worldwide.  He concluded by expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Sharjah Sports Council, the main partner in such successes, whereas the Council provided constant support and follow-up. Dr. Bani Rashid also thanked the UAE Disabled Sports Federation, which is working according to a clear strategy that made remarkable achievements.
