Sharjah 24: The Hayawa Suburb Council (HSC) of Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Departments (SDVAD) discussed with the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club ways to enhance joint cooperation during the coming period, the possibility of launching future sports programmes and events, developing bilateral partnership opportunities, and working on organising community sports events, which find great interest in the city of Khorfakkan.
The collaboration was discussed during a meeting attended by His Excellency Khalid Ahmed Buhendi, Chairman of the Hayawa Suburb Council, and His Excellency Salem Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Khorfakkan Sports Club, in the presence of a number of members of the Hayawa Suburb Council and a number of members of the Board of Directors of Khorfakkan Club.
His Excellency Khalid Ahmed Buhendi noted the great care given to community sports in Sharjah, sports facilities at the highest level, and capabilities in neighborhoods and residential areas on a large scale, in light of the support and interest of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to encourage sports among society members.
His Excellency Khalid Ahmed Buhendi stressed the vision of the Hayawa Suburb Council aiming to coordinate joint cooperation with Khorfakkan Sports Club to introduce and organise community sports events, and invite community members to participate, which will turn sports into a lifestyle for families.
His Excellency Salem Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club, welcomed the invitation of the Hayawa Suburb Council to cooperate and develop opportunities with the aim of organising a number of events for the people of HSC, which consolidates the club’s goals in strengthening its role in society and spreading a culture of sports among community members.
Al-Naqbi stressed the keenness of the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club in strengthening partnership with the Hayawa Suburb Council and achieving continuous communication and coordination, considering that cooperation is an important principle pursued by the club’s management.
At the end of the meeting, tribute shields were exchanged between the two sides, stressing the coordination to start organising community sports events according to a plan and schedule to be revealed in the coming period.
