Sharjah 24: During the seventh meeting of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club, chaired by His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Club (SSC)'s Board of Directors, His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa, expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Crown Prince and both deputies, for the unlimited financial and moral support given to the club, which contributed to the success of the previous sports season achieving several championships.
His Excellency Ali Salem Al Midfa considered that the support given to sports by the wise leadership is one of the main factors in being at the centre of competition among top clubs, winning titles and raising the name of the nation in continental events.

Sultan Ibrahim Al-Askar, Head of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department at Sharjah Sports Club, reviewed the financial and administrative report, plans and budgets for the upcoming sports season.  While, His Excellency Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, Head of the Investment and Commercial Development Department, presented an explanation of the club’s most prominent investment projects and plans for development, in addition to the report on sponsorships for teams in foreign tournaments.

His Excellency Engr. Sulaiman Al Hajri, head of the Individual Games Department at Sharjah Club, tackled the budget plan set for the next season and the administration’s needs, which was approved by the Board of Directors during the meeting, including rewards, incentives, participation in internal and external tournaments and maintenance work, in addition to honouring the fencing team that won the title of the Arab Fencing Clubs Championship recently conducted in Sharjah. His Excellency Tariq Al Midfa, Head of Strategy and Quality Department, reviewed the results of the implementation of strategic initiatives for all departments.

His Excellency Chairman of the Collective Games Department, Muhammad Obaid Al-Hussan, tackled the participation of the first basketball team in the 33rd Arab Championship, which will be hosted by Al Ittihad Alexandria Club in the Arab Republic of Egypt, from September 29 to October 10 with the participation of 20 clubs, in addition to preparing to host the Bahrain Emirates Handball Super Cup, where Sharjah team will meet the Bahraini Al-Najma team on the 25th of September.
