Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (Ruwad) of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) continues to receive applications for participation in the “My Project” competition.
The competition is directed to the citizens of the UAE, and seeks to attract the best creative ideas in the field of entrepreneurship, as registration is scheduled to close next Thursday, corresponding to September 23.
His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Director of Ruwad, praised the participation of the competition, which witnessed the presentation of pioneering ideas.
His Excellency highlighted the participants’ keenness to adhere to the criteria and conditions of submission, whether with regard to the competition as a whole or the criteria for evaluating and accepting ideas.
His Excellency pointed out that the competition has also witnessed, since the registration was opened on September 12, many inquiries and questions from those wishing to participate, through communication channels via phone calls, e-mails and social networking sites. The work team responded to them and provided the appropriate information.
His Excellency added that the competition jury is made up of a group of experts, officials from the government and private sectors and successful entrepreneurs. The committee will evaluate the participating ideas, providing advice to the participants during the training period in the workshops, ending with the final arbitration and selection of the winners.
It is noteworthy that cash rewards have been allocated to the winning ideas in the first three places, with a total of 150,000 dirhams. In addition to a set of other supportive benefits. The support will be provided for 3 years in accordance with the applicable terms of Ruwad's membership programme. The project can be financed by Ruwad in accordance with the conditions and criteria used for the financing programme.
