Fatima Ibrahim, Director of Strategy and Projects at the UAE Special Olympics, revealed to Sharjah 24 that 40 male and female contestants with disabilities from Khor Fakkan Clubs for the Disabled, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, Ras Al Khaimah Club for the Disabled, and Jam Sports Academy competed in the second stage of the Special Olympics.
She mentioned that the major goal of organizing this competition is to work toward a gradual return to competitions while ensuring that all precautionary measures are fully implemented in light of the spread of "Covid-19."
Fatima Ibrahim expressed her gratitude to Khor Fakkan Club for the Disabled for hosting the tournament's second stage events and offering all of its resources to make the event a success.
