It witnessed the wide participation of 15 government entities, 20 shops specialised in marine products’ manufacturing, and 15 productive families.

Aside from the festival’s main event, the festival held a series of educational seminars and workshops aimed at strengthening and consolidating the Emirati heritage concepts in the new Emirati youth.

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director General of the SCCI, stated that the festival was successful in terms of the number of visitors and the huge sales, estimated one million and 250 thousand dirhams, from which the shops and productive families participating in the festival benefited. The festival constitutes an important economic tributary for workers in the Al Maleh (salty fish) industry and marine products’ manufacturing, and vital support for the economy of the eastern region and the country.
