Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) opens to its audience a new media window to watch the most prominent media and artistic works that have been shown during the past thirty years. SBA allocated on “Maraya” platform, a section dedicated to exceptional works in drama, theater and Emirati television production during the past decades, thus adding new content to its platform, which includes a large library of programmes.
The topics included in the new section introduces viewers to a selection of the most prominent dramas of Gulf and Arab stars.
The section includes a part dedicated to theater broadcasting a selection of the best works of Emirati stars, in addition to many important works that constituted an important addition to the Gulf and Arab theatrical movement.
SBA resumed the archiving of the video library in 2017, and during the past five years, about 58,000 various videos produced by television were added to the library, and 48% of the materials were uploaded, which contributed to preserving the programme plan of Sharjah TV.
Ibtisam Al Shayeb, Head of the Artistic Production Quality Control Department, said that the section that was launched on the first day of Ramadan on May 6, 2019, is one of the most important sections of Maraya, and a visual heritage of SBA.
Al Shayeb added that the audience will have a vivid memory rich in details, which will take people of Sharjah back to the beautiful times.
The audience, who was unable to follow the programmes during their daily broadcast on the TV channel, will be able to watch all episodes on Maraya application, for free. Maraya is a platform and a digital library that includes all the SBA programmes throughout the year, free of charge.
