Sharjah24: Saif Hassan Al Dhahouri, Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee of Al Maleh and Fishing festival, revealed the programme for the eighth edition of the festival, which is organised by Dibba Al Hisn Municipality in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The festival programme includes many popular artistic performances, heritage competitions, and dialogue sessions on the salt industry and marine fishing derivatives, including the "lakh and garaqer" industry.
He explained in statements to “Sharjah 24” that what distinguishes the festival in its new session is the increase in the area of the tent allocated to the festival, which will continue for 4 consecutive days on Al Hisn Island, from nine in the morning until nine in the evening.
Al Dhahouri pointed to the participation of a large number of local and federal government agencies and departments, productive families and shops specialised in the salty industry.
He noted that the committee implemented a set of strict measures to prevent the coronavirus, calling on the public to abide by the instructions of the organising committee, and to enjoy the heritage and cultural activities offered by the festival, in addition to various products and commodities.
