Sharjah 24: The UAE Archery Federation held trials to select members of the national team during a two-day period in Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club.
This came in the presence of Hasan Al Mazrouei, the Federation's Secretary-General, as part of the Federation's strategy to create champions in this sport.
The trials saw the participation of 41 archers from all sports clubs affiliated with the Federation, including Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, which achieved the best results and performance during the Emirates Cup organised by the Sport's Federation through a series of tournaments last season.
The trails included 11 test stations containing physical and technical tests. Elena, the coach of the Latvian national team, will study the data in order to pick prospects for the UAE national team.
