Sharjah 24: The bow and arrow team (youth category) of Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club won the first and second places at the level of UAE clubs, the youth category, in the Emirates Cup for Bow and Arrow competition (third stage), which was held at Al Hamriyah Cultural Sports Club, with the participation of 8 local clubs.
Juma Obaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Club, expressed his happiness at hosting this tournament in its first and third phases. He commended the efforts of the UAE Archery Federation for organising such tournaments and its keenness on the continuity of the physical activity of the players, which enhances the development of the level of the players and their non-interruption of training and polishing their skills.
For his part, Hamid bin Ghadeer, member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Individual Games Committee, said that this competition achieved a considerable success despite the Corona pandemic, which constituted a great challenge. He added that adherence to all precautionary preventive measures to avoid exposure to the virus were fully observed.
He continued that since the introduction of the bow and arrow game, the club has managed to achieve advanced positions at the level of local competitions, noting that a number of the club's players have achieved many advanced positions in various sports in the club.
