Sharjah24: As part of its efforts and continuous follow-up to promote the educational process, the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) held an extensive meeting with the directors of private nurseries in the emirate, to discuss its preparations for the current academic year 2021-2022, highlighting the developments of the follow-up committee and evaluation of new cases of Covid 19 infection in private educational institutions in the Emirate, as well as the developments of the Department of Continuous Improvement, and the Department of Licensing, in addition to a number of special cases concerned with the affairs of nurseries.
The meeting, which was held virtually, was chaired by Ali Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, who began the meeting by thanking the nurseries’ departments and employees for their cooperation and commitment, stressing the importance of the current stage due to the exceptional circumstances, stressing the need to adhere to precautionary measures in a sense of responsibility.
The meeting discussed the most prominent challenges facing private nurseries, and finding the necessary solutions to further provide the best services for students, pointing out that 87 nurseries operates this year in the emirate.
His Excellency Ali Al Hosani emphasised the Authority's keenness on the continuity and sustainability of education in nurseries is consistent with the wise leadership's interest in this vital sector.
He added that the Sharjah Private Education Authority appreciates the efforts made by nurseries, calling on them to cooperate in facilitating the tasks of the supervisory teams that visit nurseries, as well as concerting efforts to provide a conducive learning environment for all students.
He also underscored the Keen of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in supporting the efforts of opening the private nurseries, contributing in achieving the goals of academic development in the emirate.
During the meeting, the Authority reviewed the most important updates of the guideline, which was distributed to private nurseries, including a package of precaution procedures and requirements that must be implemented inside the nurseries.
The Authority revealed that it is about to launch an epidemiological investigation team in nurseries in the near future, in addition to its endeavors to automate epidemiological investigation procedures, train cadres on its platform that it launched earlier, "Tamam", and track those who had contact with someone infected with COVID-19, with the aim of monitoring positive cases, provided accuracy and speed in uploading data.
The meeting also reviewed the requirements of the guidance manual provided by the Authority.
The attendees have discussed various other topics that contribute in ensuring a healthy and safe educational environment for all the students and staff.
The participants in the meeting highlighted the Authority’s role in improving the nurseries’ sector, in order to achieve the goals that focus on quality of life, education, and innovation.
