The Anti-narcotics Directorate Brigadier Taher Al Dhaheri said that anti-narcotics officers have monitored random social media reports that contain images, videos and audio messages that are sent through a social network, to promote the use of drugs and that they are able to deliver such illegal substances across the country.
He explained the gang leaders utilized international telephone numbers to randomly propagate narcotics.
He added that the anti-narcotics authorities had begun a search and inquiry and hung on the drug dealers as their attempts had been made to distribute drugs to distinct places.
The drug traffickers and distributors were given a harsh blow by Abu Dhabi Police, who caught them red-handed and referred them to the judiciary for trial, he continued.
He warned members of the public not to respond to messages marketing narcotic substances in any way. They should immediately block the number and report it to the Aman service on 8002626.
