Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police, represented by Department of the Punitive and Correctional Institution (DPCI), organised a health event, as part of its community initiatives targeting inmates' families, with the aim of enhancing the quality of healthy life, by visiting them at their places of residence in the Emirate.
This came as a continuation of the efforts made by the UAE within the quality of life indicators, which are a reflection of the country's directions to focus on enhancing the quality of life, and embodying the integration of government entities' efforts to improve the quality of life in various sectors.
The campaign, which targeted 10 families of the institution’s inmates, aimed to provide health awareness services, in order to preserve public health, and to improve the lifestyle in the community.
During the campaign, the medical staff acquainted the families with the results of their examinations and their impact on their health, improving early detection of disease, reducing the incidence of diabetes and stress diseases and encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyles due to its positive impact on their daily lives.
