Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police said that Emirati women play an important role as an active partner in the country's development process.
Major General Al Shamsi added that this initiative celebrates a group of Emirati women, who served the country, and that Sharjah Police extends appreciation and gratitude to every Emirati mother, daughter, sister or wife in Sharjah Police, whether they are still in service or those whose services have ended.
The initiative was launched at Wasit Comprehensive Police Station, where Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, in the presence of Colonel Yousuf Obaid bin Harmoul, Director of the Sharjah Police Comprehensive Stations Department, and a number of officials, received Fatima Suleiman Al Darmaki, a former employee of the Sharjah Police, as a tribute, appreciation and gratitude for her services during her tenure with Sharjah Police, where Major General Al Shamsi welcomed her and praised her years of service, as she was an example to follow.
The Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police also surprised a number of employees’ mothers at the Sharjah Police, by paying them a home visit as a gesture of appreciation for Emirati women and their leading role in making change, and community development.
In another gesture, Colonel Yousuf Obaid bin Harmoul, in the presence of the heads of the comprehensive police stations and a number of officers, honoured both Lt. Colonel Abdullah Hamdan Al Naqbi, Head of the Support Services Department, Lt. Colonel Mohammed Ali bin Haider, Acting Head of Buhairah Police Station, and Captain Mishaal Ali Al Handasi, Director of Operations presenting symbolic gifts to their mothers on the occasion of Emirati Women's Day.
