Buhumaid:Emirati Women’s giving is result of leadership confidence

Sharjah24:Her Excellency Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development said that the great achievements made by Emirati women, and their giving in the family environment and the work is an inevitable result of the trust and appreciation of the UAE leadership.
Her Excellency Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid said that the great achievements made by Emirati women is an inevitable result of the trust and appreciation of the UAE leadership represented by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, UAE Prime Minister & Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces. Such confidence, gives Emirati women a recognition of their aspirations, has been and continues to be a guideline for all the successes achieved by women at various levels and fields.

Her Excellency lauded the impact and vision of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation “Mother of the Nation” and her announcement to name the theme of the Emiratis Women’s Day celebration this year as “Women: Ambitions & Inspiration for Next 50 Years. The celebration embodies the development goals expected of Emirati women in the process of sustainable development along with Emirati men, to the goals of the UAE vision 2071, particularly in relation to future families in a more cohesive society.

Her Excellency Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid added that Emirati women, who celebrate their day on August 28th each year, achieve excellence locally, regionally and even globally; she combines between her traditional role in the family and throughout society.

Her Excellency noted that Emirati women are preparing today to rise to space, having achieved record numbers on the ground in senior positions, diplomatic missions, armed forces, national service, and in other areas such as aviation, renewable and clean energy, technology, engineering and medicine. Reflecting the quantity and type of government, society and private work, she holds 9 ministerial portfolios, half of the seats in the Federal National Council; about 46% of leadership and supervisory positions in the federal government, 72% of health jobs, 69% in the education sector and 46% in administrative positions, 30% of diplomatic mission positions, 34% of professional and specialized jobs, and 37.5% of the banking community, these figures reflect the best possible reality for women in their home-family career to society, nation and universality.
