Sheikh Saqr said, in a statement on the occasion of Emirati Women's Day, which the country marks every year on August 28, that the UAE has early recognised the importance of women's empowerment and was one of the first countries to make room for them and create an environment that encourages them to innovate, developing innovative concepts that benefit the community and ensure its well-being and long-term viability.
He congratulated Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, on the occasion of Emirati Women's Day. He also congratulated the Ruler of Sharjah's wife, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Supreme Council for Family Affairs, on this occasion, which has become an important event that drew the attention of the wise leadership.
