Sharjah 24: Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) received a delegation of Sharjah Municipality to discuss promoting active strategic partnership, and e-connectivity between both sides. The meeting aimed at developing services provided to all segments of society, which positively impacts the economic and social development, and achieves the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming at enhancing Sharjah competitiveness.
Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority received the municipality delegation that was headed by His Excellency Obaid Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed a number of aspects of joint cooperation and e-connectivity of contract authentication, improving the processes performance, simplifying procedures and preserving the aesthetic appearance of Sharjah through coordination and cooperation in ending the procedures of deteriorated old buildings, developing services provided to residents, and organising joint fees between both sides.
Al Suwaidi highlighted SEWA's keenness to cooperate with the municipality to serve citizens and residents and to constantly improve services.
Al Suwaidi pointed that Sharjah Municipality is an important and vital partner of the SEWA, and that the Authority is constantly working to support work teams to provide a flexible work environment to achieve and promote the vision of Sharjah and serve the public interest.
The Chairman of SEWA underscored the importance of taking quick and effective measures to implement the e-connectivity between both parties, to achieve integration, and increase coordination and cooperation to complete quality and effective joint transactions.
His Excellency Obaid Al Tunaiji, confirmed that communication and cooperation is continuing between the Municipality and SEWA to develop new mechanisms providing services, which contributes to the development of services and the speed of customer procedures.
Al Tunaiji explained that the Municipality continues its transformation towards electronic and smart systems in providing services. He also confirmed that a number of memoranda of understanding will be signed with different authorities aiming to upgrade services to the highest levels. The memoranda of understanding will meet the needs and aspirations of customers, through the usage of an electronic system that facilitates approvals remotely, and realise public interest and sustainable development.
