Sharjah 24: The Social Media Club, Middle East Branch, one of the non-profit organisations, has approved the courses offered and supervised by the Sharjah Media Training Centre (SMTC), affiliated with the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), to be among its list of programmes directed to scholars and researchers in various major fields in the media sector.
The club will implement a set of joint courses in cooperation with the centre, which offers throughout the year a series of various training courses in the fields of social media, digital media, social media management, and digital marketing, in addition to specialised courses in the field of digital content production on social networking sites and others.
The centre includes an infrastructure that is characterised by the highest international standards followed in the fields of media training, as it includes 4 studios and halls equipped with the latest equipment and support systems for training. Over the past years, it was able to offer 981 specialised courses supervised by 28 specialised trainers in various fields, benefiting 4,800 trainees who obtained accredited certificates after completing the practical and theoretical requirements.
On this accreditation, Hussain Shaheen, Director of the Sharjah Media Training Centre (SMTC), stated that the centre is proud of this confidence that was given by one of the most prominent specialised bodies in the field of media training.
The director of the Sharjah Media Training Centre added that this partnership would open the door more broadly to students and researchers seeking specialised knowledge in the fields of media in its various disciplines. Not to mention the mutual benefit from the various experiences that both parties will provide, in the interest of establishing an effective and developed media culture.
For his part, Ali Sabkar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Media Club, maintained that the club have approved the courses of the Sharjah Media Training Centre, which is affiliated with SBA, based on the awareness of the quality and comprehensiveness of what it offers in the new disciplines.
Sabkar continued that the courses of the centre would contribute to raising the level of educational attainment for those enrolled in the club’s programmes. In addition to benefiting from the content methodology provided by SMTC’s courses, which cover basic and indispensable topics for social media students.
Sabkar added that the cooperation between the club and the centre enriches the programmes of the Social Media Club, especially in the newer courses that introduce researchers and students to the data of digital media, as well as courses related to social media management and digital marketing. Sabkar noted that the club is pleased to be add the centre to list of approved programmes to develop the qualification path in the field of social media and its latest practices.
