Al-Thiqah Club organises a lecture on the Emirati etiquette

Sharjah 24: The virtual Sharjah summer programmes, "Our Holiday Different", continue at Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled, under the auspices of the Sharjah Sports Council, with the participation of club members with disabilities, and will continue until August 26.
During the third week, Al-Thiqa Club will present a lecture on Emirati etiquette, the heritage of ancestors and fathers, in cooperation with the Shamal Folk Arts and Theatre Society. Daily activities, offered to members, vary between cultural and sports activities, including programmes for memorising and reciting the Noble Qur’an, religious stories, computer skills, Arabic calligraphy, handicrafts, art workshops, teaching sign language and principles of chess. 

Badriya Al Suwaidi, Board Member of Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled and Head of the Cultural Committee, said that the lecture on the Emirati etiquette aims to teach club members with disabilities the arts of Emirati traditions in line with the UAE heritage, whereas it includes traditions of receiving guests and serving coffee.

Badriya Al Suwaidi praised the great support provided by the Sharjah Sports Council which contributed to the success of the Sharjah Virtual Summer Sports Programme.
