Sharjah24: Steaming from its endeavor to inculcate the culture of safety among members of the society , Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA) organised in the first half of 2021, 39 workshops and training programmes, which were specialised in occupational safety and health targeted 2098 trainees.
The authority has launched 2804 preventive inspection tours for facilities, including residential and commercial facilities, in order to ensure the safety of its residents.
SPSA also organised visiting tours for 16 facilities from various government and private agencies in the Emirate of Sharjah, and organised workshops on occupational safety and health for more than 280 trainees, with taking into account all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of trainees.
The authority launched an occupational safety and health campaign dedicated to school students, which was held in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, Student Activities Department at the University of Sharjah, to raise the awareness of safety at the campus.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr AlQasimi, Chairman of the Prevention and Safety Authority, stated that the authority aims to raise the awareness of members of society in order to reach a safe society free from dangers, affirming the importance of spreading the culture of prevention and safety to prevent any potential danger.
