Sharjah24: The UAE University has participated in the 5th edition of Al Dhaid Date Festival, by displaying and selling palm seedlings, which were produced by the Palm and Date Development Studies and Research Unit with the aim of producing selected types of dates that are free of diseases and pests.

Aisha Saif Al Raisi, the representative of UAE University pavilion at Al Dhaid Date Festival, stated in an exclusive statement to "Sharjah 24" that the university is participating in Al Dhaid Date Festival by displaying and selling palm seedlings that were produced at the University's Palm and Date Development Studies and Research Unit aim to produce good quality of dates that are free of pests and diseases.
