Sharjah 24: The evaluation committee of the Al Dhaid Date Festival has set a number of evaluation criteria for the selection of the winning dates, with the aim of urging attention to the quality of the dates including cleanliness, weight, size and others.

Within the framework of the Al Dhaid Dates Festival’s keenness to sort out the best species participating in the festival's competitions, with the aim of encouraging farmers to pay attention to the quality of dates’ production, the evaluation committee set a number of criteria for selecting the winning varieties.

In an exclusive statement to "Sharjah 24", Saud Al Zamani, head of the arbitration committee at the Al Dhaid Date Festival, explained that the evaluation of date types is out of 20 according to standards and quality, adding that several types of date are included in the competition including Al Ikhlas, Al Shishi, Al Khunaizi, and Al Nukhba.
