Sharjah records zero deaths from road accidents in Eid AlAdha

Sharjah 24: The comprehensive security plan of the Sharjah Police, which was developed during Eid Al Adha in all cities of the emirate, succeeded in recording zero deaths from road accidents. Moreover, the call centre of the Central Operations Room dealt with 24057 emergency and non-emergency phone calls, in coordination with the competent authorities and strategic partners.
Colonel Jassim Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director of Operations Department at Sharjah Police, explained that all incoming calls, reports and inquiries were dealt with promptly, after being evaluated by the first responder, in coordination with other police departments.

The Director of the Operations Department called on the public to dial 999, in case they encounter any emergency at any time.

Lit. Col. Mohammed Allay Al Naqbi, Director of the Traffic and Patrol Department at Sharjah Police, confirmed the success of the traffic plan developed and implemented by the Department, with the participation of the various units of the Sharjah Police. The plan included intensifying security and traffic patrols in various residential neighbourhoods, internal and external roads, which led to “zero” deaths, and contributed to achieving the leadership goals in line with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to enhance roads security and safety.

Lit. Col. Mohammed Allay Al Naqbi 0praised the efforts made by all police units of the Sharjah Police during Eid Al Adha holiday, which had the greatest impact on the smooth flow of traffic. He added that vehicle drivers’ awareness and commitment contributed to the success of the traffic plan.
