Sharjah 24: Brigadier General Ahmed Haji Al Serkal, Director General of Police Operations at the Sharjah Police, paid an inspection visit to the Eastern Region Police Department and the Kalba Comprehensive Police Station on Wednesday to see how work has been progressing and to keep track of the region's latest security and traffic developments.

During his visit, he spoke with the policemen on duty, wishing them Eid Al Adha blessings and congratulating them. He commended their efforts in the operations room and in the field, as well as their constructive interaction in easing traffic and ensuring the region's security and safety. He emphasised the importance of maintaining ready security and giving support and prompt reaction to visitors to the region in order to combat the developing corona virus "Covid-19."

Brigadier General Ahmed Al Serkal also paid a visit to the Kalba Comprehensive Police Station, where he was briefed on the station's progress, as well as the quality and performance over the holiday period. During the Eid holiday time, he urged those in charge of the centre to continue administrative and field operations, including traffic and criminal investigations, to ensure the highest levels of performance and public service.

The Director General of Police Operations reiterated that coordinated efforts and cooperation among all stakeholders contributed to the accomplishment of the plan to safeguard tourist destinations, which included taking all necessary precautions to maintain public security and safety.
