Sharjah 24: Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), announced the opening of the 5th edition of Al Dhaid Dates Festival, which will last four days and attract a huge number of farmers, participants, and visitors.

He told "Sharjah 24" that the festival symbolises people's interest in the palm tree, its importance in human life, and its economic impact. 

For the first time, the festival added new varieties and trees to the competitions, as well as valuable prizes for the winners.
