Sharjah 24: Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, affiliated to the Department of Districts and Villages Affairs in the Government of Sharjah, launched its first community initiative of its kind at the council level, "Eid Fawala", for the needy families of the residents of Al Khalidiyah Suburb, with the aim of spreading joy on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al Adha
The initiative, which was launched on Saturday, from the headquarters of the suburb in the city of Sharjah, comes in the context of the community initiatives that the council was keen to implement, which embodies its societal role in the suburb.
The initiative included distributing large quantities of up to 100 large-sized fruit baskets to the needy families of Al Khalidiyah suburb, where the distribution was carried out in cooperation with the Women's Committee, with all precautionary and preventive measures taken under the direct supervision of the Chairman of the Council.
For his part, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiyah Suburb Council, stressed that the council is keen to implement such initiatives that aim to strengthen social relations between the council and the people, which are considered complementary to the council's regular initiatives.
Al Marri pointed out that the aim of this initiative is to achieve social interest and solidarity, which is one of the council's effective functions, and to contribute to the people's participation in their joy on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al Adha.
