Sharjah 24: Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of Arab Parliament for the Child (APC), called for continued child empowerment so that they can participate in decision-making and patriciate with decision-makers in shaping an Arab child's worthy future, pointing to the Parliament's steps since its inception in April 2019.
He emphasised that, with the support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the General Secretariat of Parliament based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates continues its efforts to achieve the aims of establishing an Arab Parliament for the Child under the umbrella of the League of Arab States.
The secretariat is constantly working to host the second parliamentary session of the third cycle virtually on July 31.
Al Barout explained that the Parliament's General Secretariat continues to work with all Arab countries through its commission in Cairo, as well as with institutions concerned with children, to confirm their children's participation in the second session, and that the Secretariat has received many positive responses and is awaiting confirmation of other Arab countries.
He stated that the second session's activities will commence on twenty-fifth of July and will last for a week.
