Sharjah 24: Noura Al Shamsi, Acting Director of the Children Care Department at Sharjah Children (SC) of the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, indicated that Sharjah Children is preparing to launch its summer camp "My Summer" remotely via "Zoom" video communication technologies. The camp targeting children in the age group of 6- 12 years from children in the centres and the public.
Noura Al Shamsi, Acting Director of the Children Care Department in Sharjah Children (SC) of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, confirmed that Sharjah Children’s summer camp will be held in two periods. The first from 4 to 15 July, and the second from 1 to 12 August, and registration will be done by visiting social media sites of Sharjah Children.
Al Shamsi maintained, in statements to "Sharjah 24", that the camp aims to exploit the children's free time during the school vacation, invest their energies and enrich their talents and capabilities through the programmes and workshops they receive throughout the year, in addition to providing them with many scientific and practical skills during the activities offered.
She added that the camp includes many targeted activities that contribute to expanding the participants' perceptions through specialised programmes in all approved tracks of Sharjah Children, implemented by a number of specialised trainers, a team of affiliates of Sharjah Youth, and Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, noting that the camp also deals with artistic, cultural and scientific workshops.
The Acting Director of the Department of Children Care in Sharjah Children (SC) concluded that a future media programme is being implemented, in cooperation with the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), with the aim of attracting media-oriented children, training them and developing their abilities through specialised media courses that direct them in various media fields at an early age.
