Sharjah24: Al Hamriyah District Council met on Wednesday at its headquarters in Al Hamriyah region in Sharjah to elect a Chairman and a vice-chairman, and set visions and goals. The region’s council approved, in agreement, the selection of Saif Obaid Bouvier Al Shamsi as Chairman of the Council and the election of Hamid Ali bin Khalaf Al Ali as vice-chairman.
The meeting began with a welcoming speech by Khamis Al Suwaidi, member of the Executive Council and Chairman of Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs, in which he welcomed the members of Al Hamriyah District Council and congratulated them for the confidence of the Ruler of Sharjah to be members of this council, as well as playing an important social role in the region.
Sheikh Majid Al Qasimi welcomed the members of Al Hamriyah District Council and pointed out the importance of the council's role in the coming period to perform its role in serving the people, stressing that suburban councils are a link between the government and society.
