Sharjah 24: Shooting players in Sharjah Women's Sports Club (SWSC) were able to deliver an exceptional season, in light of the corona pandemic conditions, which affected various fields, not just sports.
Shooting players were able to excel and win first places, whether at the Gulf or local levels, in addition they participated in the 13th Edition of the Ramadan Sport tournament organised by the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation.

The shooting sport, like other sports at the SWSC, enjoys great support from the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation officials, and lends every needed help to develop the sport.

The 2020-2021 season witnessed a major breakthrough in the sport, whereas the number of players reached 16 in the Club, winning a total of 12 medals, including one gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals.

Hind Al Hosani, representative of Sharjah Women's Sports Club, said that the Club pays great attention to the shooting game and looks for increasing the number of players at the UAE level in line with the development of the game at the international level, and the Club looks for ways to develop the administrative and technical staff.

Sheikha Al Shamsi, the sport administrator, said that the preparations during the season were great and exercises were remotely implemented at the beginning of the pandemic, and continued on the ground on a daily basis. Precautionary measures were respected, moreover, tournaments were held remotely with the other participating teams.

Al Shamsi added that the Club will start preparations for the next season, in August, and the goal is to collect the as many medals as possible, locally and abroad.
