Sharjah 24: On the occasion of al-Fitr Eid, Arada has opened Nasma Central for the Nasma Residences group in Sharjah; the project provides a new shopping and leisure destination. His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Arada, opened the lifestyle centre and unveiled Nasma Central's focal point, the hilltop’s path and the beautifully designed pavilion at its summit. The project celebrates the life of the late Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the former Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.
The rotating journey up to the hilltop features a number of resting stops that outline Sheikh Ahmed’s key achievements; more than 50 years of dedicated public service for the success and prosperity of Sharjah and UAE. The journey concludes with a tribute dedicated to Sheikh Ahmed, a poem written by his son, Sheikh Sultan, and inscribed in stone by the base of the pavilion.
His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Arada, commended on the launch of the project, and said: “The launch of this new destination at the heart of Nasma Residences is a milestone in the history of the community. I am especially proud to open the Pavilion of Sheikh Ahmed to honour the achievements of one UAE’s longest-serving leaders, who had a strong vision for Sharjah, and whose career was defined by impressive professional and humanitarian achievements since the beginning of UAE Union.”
