Sharjah24: The Sharjah Public Works Department has completed the construction of a new housing project for employees of Sharjah government institutions according to modern, distinct and integrated specifications that provide a comfortable environment for workers.
The head of the Sharjah Public Works Department, Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al-Suwaidi, said that the project to construct a new housing for the employees of these institutions came to keep pace with the increase in the number of employees and aims to secure housing for workers in the government sector, and to keep pace with the comprehensive development currently taking place in the emirate thanks to the visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Al Suwaidi expressed the department's keenness to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership keen to enhance the well-being and development throughout the emirate, which gave all its regions the greatest attention and set integrated plans for its development and development according to a forward-looking vision.
In detail, the Director of the Building Projects Department at the Public Works Department, Eng. Alia Al-Rand, explained that the land area of the new housing is 24,000 square meters and consists of 13 housing units on an area of 9,000 square meters and each building consists of a ground and first floor and each building contains 8 apartments to accommodate 104 families, including 3 rooms and a hall, and others that include two rooms and a hall, and its benefits from a preparatory kitchen, a building and toilets, in addition to utility services, sanitation, water tanks, interlock around the building and all units are fully finished, with high quality.
The project also contains 3 service buildings, 1000 meters of prefabricated concrete external fences, 236 car parks, in addition to green spaces, especially since the preservation of the trees on the site was taken into account.
The building was implemented after a thorough study of all the necessary needs, by implementing a plan to construct new housing units, which was designed according to an urban style that keeps pace with the times and shows the importance of distinctive government buildings features.
