Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority (SDAA) presented eight live and virtual workshops entitled "Application of Document Management System" for employees concerned with managing and preserving documents at the General Secretariat of Sharjah Executive Council, Sharjah International Airport Authority, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Roads and transportation Authority, and Sharjah Directorate of Public Works.
During the workshops, SDAA’s specialists presented the legal framework for the current document management system in government entities, and introduced the document management tools that include the classification system, the retention period system, and the method for preparing a document management database to track its movement from its initial stage until its final stage.
The workshops included an explanation of the criteria for including a specific classification symbol for files and documents, and the mechanisms for converting and destroying documents, carried out under the supervision of SDAA, to ensure their implementation in accordance with the highest standards applied in the field.
