Sharjah24: His Excellency Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority, confirmed that the exhibition (Tales from the East) talks about the East and this Arab and Islamic culture and its extension to various parts of the world, and the exhibition boasts albums here in Sharjah with exhibits, collectibles, books and manuscripts from different countries of the world valued at more than 60 One million dirhams.
He added to “Sharjah 24”, through the exhibition (Words from the East), we open the door for the public to view manuscripts and books dating back hundreds of years, documenting events and knowledge that changed the history of the region and the world.
Al-Amiri explained that the exhibition does not embody a journey in the history of knowledge and sciences provided by scientists and researchers centuries ago, but rather is a living testament to the aesthetics of art used in the making of books in the past, in addition to that it reveals the extent of the effort made by scientists to contribute to building human civilisation.
