Sharjah 24: The Family Affairs Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) reviewed, during its meeting in attendance and remotely Tuesday evening, its various efforts in completing its programmes and activities that enhance its goals approved by the Council in the interest of the family, its interdependence and the development of its role in facing various challenges.
The Committee decided to organise a dialogue session under the name “Contemporary Family Challenges” during the next week for which a number of personalities and government institutions concerned with the family will be invited.
The session aims to concert all societal efforts and strengthen the role of the family in the various pivotal issues facing it now, and preparing for the future in all fields.
Fatima Ali Al Muhairi, chairperson of the committee congratulated members on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. She called for the development of all efforts to serve the family in accordance with the committee’s plans and the contribution of all to the success of the dialogue session currently being organised.
Al Muhairi pointed out that all the legislations and laws issued by the UAE in general and the Emirate of Sharjah in particular aim, in their entirety, to strengthen efforts of ensuring the protection of the family and its assistance to raise its citizens and all its members to be healthy, able to give and serve the country and contribute to its development and prosperity.
After that, the committee discussed the mechanisms of organising the dialogue session besides discussing its various efforts to complete its visits to a number of institutions that provide services to the family during the second regular session of the tenth legislative term.
