Sharjah 24: Ashjan Mohammed Al Naqbi, Head of the Projects Department at the Sharjah Charity International (SCI) in Khorfakkan, announced that SCI has launched the Iftar project in various cities and regions of the Emirate by distributing 2000 Iftar meals per day in 15 locations for workers and the needy.
This comes within a series of Ramadan programmes launched by "Sharjah 24" during the holy month.
In statements to "Sharjah 24", Ashjan Mohammed Al Naqbi, Head of the Projects Department at the Sharjah Charity International (SCI) in Khorfakkan, stated that SCI has allocated 60,000 Iftar meals that will be distributed in separate areas of the city during the month of Ramadan.
She indicated that SCI has contracted with a number of well-known restaurants and kitchens to prepare 2000 Iftar meals that are distributed daily in 15 sites for workers and the needy.
Al Naqbi pointed out that meals are being prepared under strict health procedures and measures in light of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, noting SCI's keenness to provide and prepare integrated meals that include all the basic nutrients.
