Sharjah 24: His Excellency Eng. Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW), announced the registration of 28 new companies during the first quarter of 2021, bringing the total number of companies registered with SDPW to 407 companies.
His Excellency pointed out that SDPW not only register companies, but also studies the companies, indicating that there are four categories of engineering offices distributed according to the number and qualifications of the engineering cadres working for them. While, the contracting companies are divided into six categories according to the number and qualifications of the engineering cadres working. His Excellency added that with regard to the companies that renewed their registration during the first quarter, the total number of companies renewed their registration with SDPW reached 107 companies, including 79 contracting companies, 15 engineering consultancy offices and 13 supply companies.

For her part, Fatima Hassan, Director of Contracts Department, confirmed that all transactions and services provided to consultants, contractors and suppliers are 100% electronic services and do not require the presence of engineers or representatives of the companies.

The Director of Contracts Department maintained that these companies and registered offices could submit their requests and renew their data and records through the electronic system. All offices and companies operating in the Emirate need to update their data, especially in the event of a change or amendment in their basic data.

She stressed the need to renew their records in the Contracts Department periodically, especially since the department has facilitated the processes of submitting transactions and all services became electronic.
