Sharjah 24: Al Bustan District Council, which is one of the districts councils of Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department (SDVAD), distributed 35 libraries of Culture Without Borders in line with its vision to enrich families and community members and encourage them read.
Within the framework of its social visions that converged with the objectives of the Culture Without Borders programme to spread the culture of reading in the community, Al Bustan Disruct Council distributed 35 libraries to the families living in the Al Raq of the city of Al Dhaid.
The library that was distributed consisted of 50 varied books that included publications of the Ruler of Sharjah and a number of various books, which are distinguished by the richness of their content that is suitable for all family members from young to old.
The initiative is to distribute these libraries to the family within the framework of communicating with the relevant institutions and strengthening the relationship of community members with information and general culture.
His Excellency Dr. Salem Zayed Al Tunaiji, Chairman of Al Bustan District Council, praised this initiative and the efforts of the Culture Without Borders programme, lauding the great successes it has achieved in developing the cultural project within the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in raising the public awareness of the importance of reading.
