Sharjah24: The Department of Family Development Centers participated in one of the institutions of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah represented by the Family Counseling Center within the Mahatat programme organised by Al Eman School in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which targeted middle school and high school students. The administration started its participation by presenting an awareness lecture entitled “Family and Educational Whispers”.
As the lecture presented by Amira Ahmed Al Marzouqi, Head of the Psychological and Family Counseling Department at the The Department of Family Development Centers, talked about ways to enhance self-confidence and the need to believe in potential capabilities and energies and ways to develop them. The participants also learned during the lecture the concept of positive change and how to apply it, and the basics of maintaining psychological balance and methods of self-development and achieving successes through working on defining realistic goals clearly and precisely, and setting an appropriate timetable for achieving them.
Family Development Centers Administration provided 19 training programmes during the first quarter of the year as part of the programmes of the Homeland Family 2021 Campaign. The programmes focused on the empowerment of the human personality, which dealt with the principles of character formation and mental health in order to achieve balance in life and manage life pressures. The courses attend about 2,500 people.
