Sharjah 24: His Excellency Salem Ali Salem Al Muhairi, Chairman of Sharjah Municipal Council, confirmed that the first meeting of committee for organising citizens' family book in the Emirate of Sharjah, was held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Mohamed bin Humaid bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development (SDSCD). The meeting aimed to implement the decree of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah to reorganise citizens of the Emirate family book.
During the meeting, the mechanisms of citizens' family book in Sharjah were discussed, and some municipal councils were assigned to prepare a way, in which the citizen is linked to the number of the family book with the location of residence. This will include all the cities of Sharjah, with the aim to reorganise family books of the citizens of the Emirate, and update it to match the status quo in response to the changes in terms of organising the family book on the areas according to the administrative division of the Emirate.

His Excellency stated to “Sharjah 24”, that these procedures would contribute in helping the people concerned to submit any request or transaction in the area in which they reside related to the record of the family book.

His Excellency added that the aim of this procedure is to facilitate matters for the citizens as all services will be provided to them in the area in which they reside, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to facilitate those who have the need, whether a citizen or resident, and go to the municipal councils to help with problems that they encounter or their needs, maintaining that this procedure is to redistribute the numbers of the family books to each citizen in the area of residence, making it easier for them to benefit from the services.
