Al Shamsi honours 42 members of Anti-Narcotics Department

The honouring is in appreciation of their distinguished efforts and their prominent role in confronting and arresting international gangs that tried to bring an amount of narcotic substances into the country, and for their effective contribution to protecting members of society from the danger of the scourge of drugs and its negative impact on all segments of society.

He conveyed the greetings of the Minister of Interior to the honourees, and thanked them for their tangible efforts that contributed to preserving and protecting the nation from the danger of drugs, expressing his appreciation for the care, attention and follow-up of Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan in all issues affecting the security of the homeland.

During the honouring ceremony, Major General Al Shamsi stated that Sharjah Police’s achievements are the result of the sound directives by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow- up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, who ensure the security and safety of society, appreciating the efforts of the work teams of the Anti-Narcotics Department, their sincerity and their excellence in working as one team capable of confronting all attempts to undermine the security and stability of society.
