SCLD to launch third edition of virtual ‘Project Discovery’

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Center For Learning Difficulties (SCLD) will launch its third edition of the annual virtual project discovery, the first of its kind in the Middle East that takes care of the people with learning difficulties.
In cooperation with Beacon College, Florida and Sharjah Art Foundation, the third edition of the project will kick off on March 27 and runs until April 1.

The Project Discovery organisers decided to launch the current edition under the slogan “Improve Yourself” in order to encourage students to think critically and to effectively adapt to different learning methods, in addition to making them aware of learning difficulties and focusing on all their aspects.

Dr. Hanadi Al Suwaidi, Director of the SCLD, confirmed that this year’s Project Discovery will span over a period of 6 days, and through it, participants with learning difficulties from age group 14 to 22 years, will be attracted from inside and outside the country, noting that for the first time the registration fee was set to be only AED250 for the student with 20% discount for groups.

Al Suwaidi indicated that there is an evaluation conducted by the SCLD’s specialists for each participant in order to ensure his ability to benefit appropriately from the project, calling on students’ parents in the UAE and the Arab world to register their children in the programme to benefit from the workshops. It is worth noting that the participants in the project will obtain certificates accredited by Beacon College - Florida, and the distinguished ones will receive valuable gifts from the SCLD.
