He called for the importance of the citizen fishermen who chose to allocate moorings to them to speed up the progress to fulfill their requests and receive their moorings at Al-Khan Marina in light of the progress of 32 fishermen and start their work from the dock and the delay of 43.
The meeting was attended by the Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Community Police Lieutenant Colonel Jassim Muhammad Al Suwaidi, Captain Hussain Sulaiman Al Balushi, from Sharjah Public Works Department, as well as Rashid Obaid Al Shaer, and the Sharjah Cooperative Society for Fishermen, as well as Ibrahim Al Abdouli and Hassan Ahmed Al Hammadi.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Al Marri valued the grant of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for establishing a fishermen's berth in the Al Khan area and his keenness to support fishermen and preserve this inherited profession, stressing that this gift is important in enabling fishermen to practice Their profession is as best as possible.
In the same context, he praised the presence of the departments concerned with regulating the fishing profession in the Emirate of Sharjah represented by the Public Works Department, the Sharjah Police General Headquarters and the Sharjah Fishermen Cooperative Society, in addition to the Sharjah Municipality, whose representative apologized for an emergency preoccupation that prevented his attendance.
Al Marri confirmed that the meeting comes within the framework of touching the conditions of the fishermen immediately after the thirty-two fishermen practicing fishing who were selected and forty-three failed to complete the procedures for fishing from the new dock in the khan, calling on them to quickly review the association to complete the procedures and amend their conditions, otherwise their right to benefit from the berth will be lost.
He also referred to a number of important observations that are important with the aim of integrating roles to facilitate the practice of fishermen's professionalism and bypassing a number of random practices at the marina, in addition to preventing and stopping irresponsible behaviors in some boats during their anchorage at the berth at night.
