Sharjah24: The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) approved the draft law on reorganising the police force in the emirate of Sharjah after the introduction of a number of amendments and discussed the draft law in its 13th session as part of its work for the second ordinary session of the tenth legislative session.
The session was chaired by His Excellency Ali Mehd Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the SCC, after taking all precautions, public safety precautions and social distancing.
The Council discussed the draft law on reorganising the police force in the Emirate of Sharjah and the report received by the Committee of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Municipalities, Security Affairs and Public Facilities in the Council, in the presence of His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, and His Excellency Adviser Dr. Mansour Bin Nassar, Head of the Legal Department of the Government of Sharjah.
The members discussed all provisions of the law and its various objectives in terms of protecting lives, honor, money, property, vital installations and public facilities in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The various articles mentioned in the draft law regulating the work system of the police force in terms of legal formulas in the field of specialisations, objectives, administration, and military ranks, and they discussed what was mentioned in the project to enable the police force to achieve its goals through the exercise of its competencies in combating crimes in all its departments, types and forms. Preventing their occurrence and controlling the perpetrators according to the robbery procedures and legislation
After that, the Council approved the project to reorganise the police force in the Emirate of Sharjah in its 13th session.
At the end of the session, the Council’s Secretary General Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan announced that the next session will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
