During the event
Sharjah 24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, launched a forum entitled “Best Practices and Experiences in the Use of Technologies in Teaching the Arabic Language.”
The event was held remotely under the slogan “In Arabic… we innovate”, and continues for three days.

The forum includes the presentation of 32 papers on the best experiences and practices in the field of employing technologies in teaching the Arabic language through six seminars with a group of specialised experts, researchers and teachers.

Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of the Sharjah-based Arabic Language Education Centre for the Gulf States, emphasised at the opening of the forum the importance of the forum, which lies in reviewing the latest practices, experiences, initiatives and developments through which technology can be used in teaching Arabic. This comes with the of aim to keeping pace with the rapid scientific and technical developments in light of the challenges of this era, and in a way that contributes to making the Arabic language in line with the requirements of the current age.

All the participants were selected through a scientific committee to confirm the use of technology achievements and its employment in the field of distance education in teaching the Arabic language.
