Sharjah24: Eng. Hind Nasser, Director of the Center for Strategic Planning and Quality at the Sharjah Public Works Department (SPWD), indicated that the Department is seeking, through this year's innovation activities, to enhance the content provided and develop innovative experiences and ideas in conjunction with the UAE Innovation Month, especially since innovation is one of the six values on which the strategic plan is based for the circuit.
The week featured many innovative events and activities that were evaluated and selected by an internal committee to evaluate the posts according to innovation and digital technology standards.
Nasser added: The activities and initiatives of the UAE Innovation Month included a presentation of various innovative projects. The department started by activating the support system and launching it through an electronic broadcast ceremony, which went through several development stages that the department started with the electronic portal and today we are witnessing it through the smart application (DPW ESNAD APP) to provide the employee with a smart presence in addition to full data.
The initiative also included circulars on the concept of innovation, contests for reverse thinking, and the most important innovation awards in the UAE. The Department's Youth Council also organised a workshop on the importance of innovation in the lives of employees and motivating them to work.
