Sharjah Police launches 1st cycling challenge

Sharjah24: As part of the "Sharjah Police Sports Month" program, held under the patronage and participation of His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, the leadership launched the first cycling challenge on Monday morning, which was held on the new Sharjah-Khorfakkan road for a distance of 17 and 34 km.
The activities were held in the presence and participation of Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, the general directors, directors of departments, and 127 participants who are officers and non-commissioned officers of Sharjah Police in various departments.

Commenting on this, His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi  took the opportunity to laud the constant efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, expressing thanks and appreciation for his wise and generous grants to adopt various constructive projects, most prominently the new Sharjah-Khorfakkan road, which is considered one of those remarkable projects. 

At the end of the race, which strengthened the spirit of competition and teamwork among the participants, Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi honoured the winners of the three advanced places in the "17" kilometer category.
